People in Place in People
1st International Symposium on Environment, Behaviour and Society
February 9-11, 2006, Sydney, Australia
On behalf of the University of Sydney, we invite you to People in Place in People, the 1st International Symposium on Environment, Behaviour and Society, being held from February 9-11, 2006 at the University of Sydney, Australia.
This is an opportunity for intensive dialogue on three themes in environment, behaviour and society research with implications for policy, planning and design. The Symposium will be organised around a series of intensive sessions to maximise dialogue and in-depth examination of themes and issues. The themes for the 2006 inaugural Symposium are:
* Cultural Identity and the Built Environment
* Children, Youth and Environments, and
* Environmental Experience, Perception and Cognition, each broadly defined.
Papers, abstracts and posters are welcome from around the world and, following a peer-review process, will be accepted for oral or poster presentation and for possible publication in the Proceedings.
